I approached John to help me train for my first half ironman. I had done a few sprint races and one Olympic distance race in my first full triathlon season, but needed lots of help in safely training for longer distances. His workouts helped me to far exceed my performance goals and expectations at the sprint, Olympic, and half iron distances. I officially placed 2nd in age group in my first half ironman, masters female in 1 sprint and 2 Olympic distance races, and first in age group in the other sprint races of my second triathlon season. This would never have been possible without John’s training advice, and customized schedules. I learned new training methods, met some very cool training contacts, and gained other helpful information such as simple bike mechanics. I have stayed motivated to train hard, rest appropriately, and have remained injury free. The online training schedules with feedback journals are so helpful for staying on track, and this helps maintain motivation for consistent training.
